That coupled with the fact that the download page for the Mac and Windows "Legacy" versions of Lightroom get you two seemingly different products is also confusing. I think had they called the new Lightroom, LR7 CC or even just LR7 and LR CC (two different products) forget the "Classic" it just serves to confuse, or it did for me at least. Now when I try to download Lightroom 5.7 from the Adobe download page ( ), the download starts and after a few seconds it fails and give the message Failed - Network Error. It's not surprising that people have such a negative view of Adobe although they did indeed go "The extra mile" but I think that was due to the fact I persisted in tracking down a solution.įirst off for the novice user (Me) the naming convention they have used for the new Lightroom is VERY confusing.
